Tabacon's Restaurant in the Hot Springs Resort Area offers an international blend of styles and tastes to hotel guests and day visitors. The unique combination of talents originating from Costa Rica, Mexico, Egipto and Venezuela provides guests with the opportunity to taste a different themed buffet every night, to enjoy the benefits of Tabacon's exclusive Tandoor Oven, and to sample a varied and enticing lunch menu.
Ave del Paraiso is an open air restaurant with two separate sitting areas: the main area offers spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano and the Tabacon Hot Springs and Gardens. Sitting capacity is 100 guests. The second terrace overlooks the main thermal pool and swim up bar, and sits 50 guests.
Lunch is served after 12:00 md, and seating is casual. During the high season it may be common to observe a lunch buffet service set up for groups and families alike. The multiple stations include a salad bar that includes local fruits, vegetables and cheeses, a desert station with a variety of sweets produced in our local bakery and a hot station with three different main courses and a variety of side dishes. The buffet features the soup of the day, and a section with chef preparing on-the-spot combinations of pasta, rice or other dishes.
Dinner buffets are served at 5:30 pm and feature theme nights, rotating international menus that range from Costa Rican typical cuisine to Mexican, Spanish, Italian, Asian and Indonesian selections. Each night, the buffet presents separate stations that include a salad and cold area, a hot table with three main courses, the soup of the day and carving station, the freshly prepared meal station and a varied dessert menu. Sitting is casual but we do request guests to wear a top, dry clothes and shoes or sandals.
Reservations for dinner are strongly recommended, especially if you are visiting us for the day.
