Even when Tabacon Hot Springs operated as a day destination only for visitors to the Arenal Volcano Region, the Spa experience was an integral part of the Tabacon experience. The Iskandria Spa - the original name of the Grand Spa - opened with two indoor treatment rooms, a large Jacuzzi and a limited menu of spa treatments, in 1993.
Today's Grand Spa Tabacon offers a unique set up that perfectly combines nature, luxury and a impeccable attention to details and service. All services take place in the open-air bungalows located in a private area of the gardens in the rainforest, surrounded by hot springs and cold-river pool and stream in the tropical gardens.
At Tabacon, our aim is to bring nature into your spa experience; we take advantage of the beauty around the resort and incorporate the benefits of the natural surroundings into every guest experience.
The Arenal Volcano Region is known worldwide for its hot springs set at the base of one of the most active volcanoes in the Western hemisphere. Visitors can experience as many as 23 different outdoor activities that include zip lines (canopy tours), waterfall rappelling, hikes in the National Park and the rainforest, white-water rafting and safari floats. Other "softer" adventures include caving, lake kayaking, windsurfing and wildlife watching in nature reserves.
After a day of interacting with the outdoors in Costa Rica's most beautiful and diverse region, guests are invited return to the hot springs and Spa to unwind. Our expert consultants will recommend the ideal therapy to follow your adventures, to achieve utmost relaxation and enhance your experience.
The Grand Spa has been recognized with numerous awards including being named one of the "top 10 eco-spas" by Concierge.com, "top Latin American spas" by Travel + Leisure, and "top mineral springs spas" by Luxury SpaFinder. The Grand Spa is a member of the Leading Spas of the World. |
